Dianne Mize

I live with my Schnauzer, Maggie, in the lower mountains of northeast Georgia.  My favorite medium is the one with which I’m working at the moment whether oil, watercolor, pastels or graphite.

I don’t remember a time when I didn’t love creating art, but I discovered early on that I enjoy teaching, too.  Initially, I taught in high school, including Georgia's Governor's Honors Program, then a decade at Piedmont College before launching a private art school where I taught until my retirement in 2007.  Now in my second career, I  spend my time painting subjects I find in nature, giving small group tutorials, playing my hammered dulcimer and writing.  Currently, my paintings are available exclusively on Daily PaintWorks.

My priority as an artist is to remain a student who never stops learning, as a teacher to enable individual uniqueness, and as a person to evolve toward human consciousness.
