Finding my artist self has been one of the most satisfying parts of my life. Artists/teachers
Dianne Mize, Maggie Price and Arleta Pech have offered their expertise and encouragement
along the way. With me I brought the discipline of practice which I learned at an
early age through dance. Presently I’m working in oil, but I also enjoy watercolor
I frequently tell people, I'm an artist and a dancer and a naturalist; or a dancer
and an artist and a naturalist, or a naturalist and a dancer and an artist. My favorite
is the one I'm doing at the moment.
This “dance gypsy” will drive miles to participate at an English Country Dance or
I might do a little toe tapping to Mozart, show tunes or pop’s golden oldies.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, I currently am a full-time resident of the Northeast
Georgia mountains, but I have lived here on a part time basis since 1983. Four call
me “Mom” and I’m “Grandma” to nine.
